The 23rd International Forgemasters Meeting will be held in September 19-24, 2027, in Chengdu, China. With my great kindness invitation, I warmly welcome your Excellency to the event which, it is sure, will have a great impact on the development of the global open-die forging/heavy forging industry.
The global open-die forging industry is at a critical stage of transformation, marked by digital transformation, greening and decarbonization, and surging demand for high-end equipment. Intelligent manufacturing and virtual simulation are redefining modern production. In fields such as wind power, nuclear, and aerospace, requirements for high performance and high precision of heavy forgings continue to rise, driving steady expansion of the global market. At the same time, the industry faces common challenges including the shortage of skilled technical personnel, supply chain restructuring, and the upgrading of green manufacturing standards.
The 21st International Forgemasters Meeting (IFM 2020) was rescheduled due to the pandemic. The 23rd IFM will be held in Chengdu in 2027. As the most authoritative top-level event in the global open-die forging industry, held once every three years, it will bring together leading enterprises, technical experts and industry leaders from Europe, USA, Asia and around the world. Participants will discuss cutting-edge technologies, share industrial insights and explore cooperation opportunities. It serves as a key platform to keep pace with the global evolution of open-die forging development, connect high-end global resources, and drive technological innovation and market breakthroughs.
We sincerely invite distinguished experts, outstanding professionals and leading enterprise executives in the field of open-die forging from around the world to gather in Chengdu, and jointly advance the global open-die forging industry toward a future of higher quality, smarter development and greater sustainability.

About IFM
The International Forgemasters Meeting (IFM), founded in 1954, is held every three years. It is hosted and organized by industrial associations from all over the world and related large forging enterprises. The representatives mainly come from Europe, Asian countries and a wide range of countries worldwide. The main contents include technology, process, equipment, market, materials, enterprise management and operation, as well as various contents related to free forging (or large forgings).
IFM Steering Committee is an international organization whose main task is to supervise the holding of the International Forgemasters Meeting. Members come from forging organizations or enterprises in developed countries for large forgings. The current members come from Austria, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Japan, the United States and China.

Please send the proposed paper, while receiving admission notice, in Microsoft Word format by Email or disc/USB flash Drives before June 17, 2027. PPT format is refused to be delivered as articles.
The Deadline of Sending Proposed Presentation PPT is August 2, 2027.
