FAW Casting Co., Ltd., referred to as “FAW Casting,” is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China FAW Group Corporation, a large state-owned automotive casting enterprise. FAW Casting is headquartered in Changchun, Jilin Province. It originated from the casting workshop of the First Automobile Works, which was founded alongside FAW in 1953, completed and put into production in 1956, providing high-quality castings for the first Liberation truck produced in New China. On March 12, 1999, FAW Casting Co., Ltd. was officially established, combining the Foundry Plant, Foundry Plant II, Precision Casting Plant, and Mold Casting Plant. After more than sixty years of development, FAW Casting has become one of the largest automotive casting production bases in China.

Currently, FAW Casting Co., Ltd. has 7 branches, 1 subsidiary, and 2 affiliated companies. These are Foundry Plant I, Foundry Plant II, Special Casting Plant, Non-ferrous Foundry Branch, Foundry Mold Equipment Plant, Die Casting Plant, Chengdu Non-ferrous Foundry Branch, Wuxi FAW Casting Co., Ltd., Changchun FAW United Die Casting Co., Ltd., and Panshi FAW Casting Co., Ltd.

The Foundry Research Institute of FAW Casting Co., Ltd. is the technical center of FAW Casting and benefits from FAW’s 50 years of technical experience. It has successful experience in developing high-grade gray iron, ductile iron, aluminum and magnesium alloy castings, and their production processes. Its production base includes a pilot workshop and large casting workshop, capable of rapid prototyping and small-batch production of various steel, gray iron, ductile iron, Austempered ductile iron, malleable iron, aluminum, and magnesium alloy castings. The testing center can provide casting and foundry raw material testing services for clients.
